AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Facial Services
Facials
Immediately after treatment
- Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at your skin to prevent irritation or infection.
- Stay hydrated to help flush out toxins and improve the complexion.
Post-treatment
- Apply a gentle moisturizer regularly.
- Avoid high sun exposure and tanning for 12 hours and always use a minimum SPF 30 sunscreen.
- Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid working out heavily for 24-48 hours.
- Avoid heat: Steer clear of saunas, hot showers, and steam rooms for at least 48 hours to prevent additional irritation or sensitivity.
- Avoid any other facial skincare treatments for 48 hours.
- Do not apply any other exfoliating skincare products for 72 hours.
Chemical Peels
Post-treatment
- The treated area of skin may feel slightly tender and appear red and swollen afterwards. You may occasionally experience skin peeling, and your appearance may be similar to mild sunburn. These effects will resolve naturally and should be much improved after 48 hours, but it may take longer to settle. You may experience some minor bruising, which may take 1-2 weeks to resolve in some cases.
- It is important to use a regular moisturizing cream around two to three times a day on the treated area. Use more regularly if you feel the skin is dry or peeling.
- Avoid rubbing or picking the treated area.
- Avoid any makeup for 24 hours, as this can increase the risk of infection.
- Avoid any excess alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours.
- Avoid any perfumes, fake tans, or other harsh chemicals for 72 hours.
- Avoid any skin exfoliation for 72 hours.
- Avoid any products that contain alpha-hydroxy acids, retinol, or glycolic acid for at least 7 days.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, sunbeds, and exposure to heat for 72 hours. These can cause sweating, which can irritate the delicate skin and slow down your ability to heal quickly.
- Avoid swimming for 72 hours.
- Wear SPF 30 or greater sunscreen for at least 2 weeks, as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight afterwards.
- Avoid any further cosmetic treatments, e.g., Botox or dermal filler, for 2 weeks, or ask your practitioner for advice.
- Avoid any hair removal treatments, such as waxing, for 2 weeks or until the initial redness and swelling have resolved.
Microneedling
Immediately after treatment
- The localized pin-point bleeding should subside within 5-10 minutes of treatment.
- A hyaluronic acid gel or serum will be applied (or platent rich plasma, if you choose).

- Avoid any further cosmetic treatments, e.g., Botox or dermal filler, for 2 weeks following treatment, or ask your practitioner for advice.
- Wear SPF 30 or greater sunscreen for at least 2 weeks as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight afterwards.
- Avoid any hair removal treatments, such as waxing, for 2 weeks or until the initial redness and swelling have resolved.
Injections
Botox
Immediately after treatment
- Remain upright and do not lie flat or face down for at least 4 hours after treatment, as this can help reduce product migration.
- No excessive alcohol on the day of the treatment.
Post-treatment
- Do not go swimming or use saunas or steam rooms for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 24 hours; this can help reduce the risk of infection.
- Avoid any extremes of temperature for the next 24 hours; for example, have a tepid shower or bath rather than a hot one.
- Avoid exercising or engaging in strenuous activity for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours after treatment; doing so may affect treatment results.
- Avoid any further cosmetic procedures on the treated area for 2 weeks following treatment, including permanent makeup and skin treatments.
- Allow 2 weeks before assessing the results of treatment. If after 2 weeks there is any persistent unevenness or the product is not fully taken, contact your practitioner for a review.
Laser Services
Laser hair removal
Post-treatment
- The treated area of skin may feel slightly tender and appear red and swollen afterwards. You may occasionally experience skin blistering, and your appearance may be similar to mild sunburn. These effects will resolve naturally and should be much improved after 48 hours, but it may take longer to settle. You may experience some minor bruising, which may take 1-2 weeks to resolve in some cases. If you are concerned at any stage about the healing process, you must contact your practitioner.
- Avoid rubbing, picking, or scratching the treated area, especially if the area has crusted, scabbed, or blistered, because this may increase the risk of scarring.
- You can apply a cold pack to the treated area to reduce pain, discomfort, or irritation.
- Avoid waxing, tweezing, and threading for the complete duration of the treatment course.
- Keep the area clean and dry for 48 hours.
- Wear loose clothes to avoid friction on the treated area for 48 hours.
- Avoid any makeup for 48 hours, as this can increase the risk of infection.
- Avoid any excess alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours.
- Avoid any perfumes, fake tans, or other harsh chemicals for 72 hours.
- Avoid shaving the treated area for 72 hours.
- Avoid any skin exfoliation for 72 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, sunbeds, and exposure to heat for 72 hours. These can cause sweating, which can irritate the delicate skin and slow down your ability to heal quickly. Reducing UV light exposure will also help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin).
- Avoid swimming for 72 hours.
- Apply aloe vera gel for 3 days to soothe the skin. You can also use a gentle moisturizing cream.
- Avoid any products that contain alpha-hydroxy acids, retinol, or glycolic acid for at least 7 days.
- Wear SPF 50 or greater sunscreen for at least 2 weeks, as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight afterwards.
Permanent Makeup
Eyebrows
Immediately after treatment
- Every 10-15 minutes blot eyebrows with lukewarm water and a cotton pad
Post treatment
- Avoid getting treated area wet for 7 days.
- Avoid long hot showers with steam for at least 7 days.
- Avoid sleeping face-down for at least 7 days and keep your pillcase clean.
- Do not exercise heavily for 7 days to avoid sweating.
- For 10-14 days wash brows gently in the morning and night with cetaphil and a cotton pad, and then pat dry and apply aquaphor.
- Avoid direct sun/UV exposure for at least 1 month.
- Do not schedule facials, botox, chemical treatments, microdermabrasion, etc. for at least 1 month.
- Avoid picking, scratching, scrubbing or peeling the treated area to avoid scarring.
- Make sure nothing unsanitary comes in contact with your treated area until completely healed.
- Do not apply makeup or sunscreen to your treated area until completely healed.
- For itching, us any ointment/lotion as reccomended by your artist.
- If lymph fluid appears on your treated area, gently dab it dry with a clean tissue.
Eyeliner
Post treatment
- Avoid getting treated area wet for 7 days.
- Avoid long hot showers with steam for at least 7 days.
- Avoid sleeping face-down for at least 7 days and keep your pillcase clean.
- Do not exercise heavily for 7 days to avoid sweating.
- For 10-14 days wash eyelids gently in the morning and night with cetaphil and a cotton pad, and then pat dry and apply aquaphor.
- Avoid contact lenses and use glasses instead for 2 weeks.
- Avoid Latisse for 3 weeks.
- Avoid direct sun/UV exposure for at least 1 month.
- Do not schedule facials, botox, chemical treatments, microdermabrasion, etc. for at least 1 month.
- Avoid picking, scratching, scrubbing or peeling the treated area to avoid scarring.
- Make sure nothing unsanitary comes in contact with your treated area until completely healed.
- Do not apply makeup or sunscreen to your treated area until completely healed.
- For itching, us any ointment/lotion as reccomended by your artist.
- If lymph fluid appears on your treated area, gently dab it dry with a clean tissue.
Lips
Post treatment
- Avoid getting treated area wet for 7 days.
- Avoid long hot showers with steam for at least 7 days.

- Do not exercise heavily for 7 days to avoid sweating.
- Avoid direct sun/UV exposure for at least 1 month.
- Do not schedule lip filler at least 1 month.
- Do not touch or pick at your scabs. Let them exfoliate.
- Make sure nothing unsanitary comes in contact with your treated area until completely healed.
- Do not apply makeup or sunscreen to your treated area until completely healed.
- For itching, us any ointment/lotion as reccomended by your artist.
- If lymph fluid appears on your treated area, gently dab it dry with a clean tissue.
Additional Services
Lash & brow
Immediately after treatment
- Avoid using contact lenses for the rest of the day
Post-treatment
- Do not touch or rub the eyebrows or eyelashes for 12-24 hours.
- Avoid all moisture, heat, and steam for 48 hours to ensure the bonding is not disrupted. This includes swimming, saunas, baths, oven doors, tanning, facials, hot yoga, and working out heavily.
- Avoid oily products and makeup over the treated area for 48 hours.
- Always clean around eyes, and clean lashes with a lash cleanser daily.
